John and I on the long journey to Japan

Minister John is the head leader of our pioneering church in Huntington Beach, California. He visited Japan to pray for the places where his grandfather had received much help when he was young. Together we visited four cities in 8 days. We prayed, evangelized, encouraged, and shared a lot with the four different churches we visited there. For me it was a huge learning experience. I learned so much from the Japanese. They work extremely hard and are the most devoted people I’ve ever met.
This a pic we took after 12 hours of flying to Japan an hour of walking around Tokyo, and an hour or two riding the bullet train to Kobe from Tokyo. We were tired but excited. Our entire trip should have been exhausting because we usually only slept 3 to 4 hours every night. In Japan we spend the days sharing, encouraging, and learning from the Japanese until late into the night. Then we get up before dawn to attend morning service at whichever church we are visiting. We get up early at our church in America, but the Japanese and Koreans are even crazier. They get up between 2 am and 3 am to prepare for morning service! By God’s grace and miracles we were able to keep going without being too tired. But by the time we went to Korea we were happy to sleep on the trains, buses, and plane.
